RUTLAND, Vt. -
A plea deal for the owner of a bull that prosecutors say escaped its pasture and caused a fatal crash.
This morning, Craig Mosher of Killington agreed to plead guilty to a charge of reckless endangerment. Under the deal, Mosher will not serve prison time.
He previously pleaded not guilty to a more serious charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Prosecutors say Mosher's 1,800-lb. Scottish Highland bull was loose on Route 4 in July 2015 when it was struck by a car with a couple inside. Jon Bellis, 62, of Connecticut, was behind the wheel and was killed at the scene; his wife was injured.
Our Tyler Dumont will have all the details tonight on the Channel 3 Evening News starting at 5 p.m
